Ben
nett joined the Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety,
Homeland Security State Administrative Agency (HS SAA) as the
Training and Exercise Coordinator in August 2007. Among
other duties Chuck is responsible for ensuring that all first
responders receive the appropriate Homeland Security and All Hazards
Training.
A
West Virginia
native, Chuck was born in
Mason
County
and graduated from
Wahama
High School
. Upon graduation he
joined the Navy and retired after 24 years of service.
His career included both sea duty, as an engineer, and shore
duty, as a Machinist, as well as Master Training Specialist.
As a leading Non-Commissioned Officer and Technician, his
duties also included mentoring and teaching young sailors. After
retiring from the Navy he worked at a machine shop in
Ashland
,
Kentucky
for over a year and a half before joining the Homeland Security SAA
Staff.
Chuck
currently resides in
Huntington
with his wife and daughter.
