D. L. Lemmon

Colonel D. L. Lemmon enlisted in the West Virginia State Police in 1955.  He was promoted through the ranks from Trooper to Detachment Commander, District Commander, Company (Troop) Commander, Inspector of Internal Affairs and to Deputy Superintendent.  He retired in 1987 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  

Colonel Lemmon was appointed by Governor Joe Manchin as Superintendent of the West Virginia State Police in January, 2005.
