, David Williams started work for the Department of Military Affairs
and Public Safety, Homeland Security State Administrative Agency (HS
SAA) in January 2008. As
Critical Infrastructure Protection Coordinator Dave’s primary
responsibility is to coordinate efforts between governmental
agencies and the private sector, to develop a comprehensive
statewide plan to identify and protect critical infrastructure and
key resources within the State of
West Virginia
.
Dave is a graduate from
Ravenswood
High School
,
Ravenswood
,
West Virginia
and received an Associate degree from
Marshall
University
. He recently retired
from the West Virginia State Police where he held various positions
to include: Commander of Special Operations, Commandant of the
State
Police
Training
Academy
, and Deputy Superintendent. Dave
retired with 25 years of service at the rank of Major.
In 2003, during his career with the West Virginia State
Police Dave was awarded the Inspector General’s Integrity Award
from the United States Department Health and Human Services.
Dave is a past President and Vice-President
of the West Virginia Trooper’s Association where he also served on
the Board of Directors. He is a past member of the Governor’s
Committee of Crime, Delinquency and Corrections and also served as a
member of the West Virginia Consolidated Retirement Investment
Management Board. Dave
is currently serving as the treasurer of the Mountaineer’s Parents
Club (Jackson County Chapter) and is Senior Warden at Grace
Episcopal Church.
